Administrative and Tuition Fees
The IMLA programme is free of tuition for all residents of the European Union.
Non-EU Citizens need to pay 750 EUR tution fee per semester.
In addition, there are moderate administrative fees per semester at each location of studies.
Application deadline
New application deadline: 15th of November
Applications submitted before 15th of November 2019 will be valid for the programme start in March 2020 at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University near Munich.

Programme start and location of studies
Programme start is each summer semester at the beginnnig of March.
The programme location alternates each year between Nürtingen and Weihenstephan (Freising).
Students who take up their studies in March 2020 will study at the campus in Freising nearby Munich (application deadline: 15.11.2019).
Students who take up their studies in March 2021 will study at the campus in Nürtingen nearby Stuttgart (application deadline: 15.11.2020).

The application web portal is being provided and conducted by uni-assist e.V.
Application fees
Uni-assist e.v. charges non-EU residents an application fee. Information on tariffs and payment can be found here.
The application fee for EU-Citizens will be covered by HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen.
Deadline for applications
The application for admission should reach UniAssist by November 15 of the respective year at the latest. However, international applicants are strongly recommended to submit their application as early as possible, otherwise you will risk delays!
International applicants
Foreign study certificates will be checked for equivalence as part of the online application procedure. No additional recognition will be required.
Applicants requiring a visa for long stays in Germany are advised to apply for this document in good time. More information on visa issues is published by the German Academic Exchange Service.

Application Documents
Please follow these steps for the application
- Register at the
online application portal
- After registering you can start preparing your online application on this portal. Please select 'Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen' and then the study programme 'International Master of Landscape Architecture'. Applications are always at this university, even if the location of study is in Freising every second year.
- After completing the online registration form you need to print and sign this form.
- Then you need to send it together with the documents mentioned below to the following address by post: HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen, uni-assist e.V.11507 Berlin, GERMANY
- HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen covers your application fee if you are an EU citizenhttp://www.uni-assist.de/regulation-fees.html
The following documents need to be added to your application form:
- Verified copies of your school leaving certificate
- Verified copies of your graduation documents - if you are in the process of finishing your first degree and do not have the certificate ready by the time of the application deadline you can also submit a verified transcript of records. The degree certificate needs to be sumitted latest at the beginning of studies.
- Please make sure that you send verified copies of both the original version and the translation. English original documents do not need to be translated.
- Curriculum vitae (simple copy)
- Letter of motivation (simple copy)
- Language certificate (you need to have a verified certificate of either English on level B2 by the time of the application)
- Portfolio (simple copy, this can also be uploaded to the online documents of your digital application)
- Proof of payment of the application fee (only for non EU residents)
