The Nürtingen-Geislingen University is one of Baden-Württemberg's 22 applied sciences universities with a profile that allows it to stand alongside universities as an academic educational institution. It is characterised by hands-on teaching and application-oriented research. In addition to a master's programme in landscape architecture the university offers concentrated, practicerelated courses in the fields of business administration, international financial management, agronomics, food chain management, economics, international management, landscape planning/architecture, town planning and environmental studies. The Nürtingen-Geislingen University is one of the leading business universities in Germany. Nürtingen was once the home of the German lyric poet Hölderlin, and is located at the foot of the Swabian Alb highlands. The city offers a wide range of cultural activities, and its cosy bars and historic quarter lend it a very unique flair.
