Landscape and the urban periphery - Project Report

IMLA students explored the periphery of Brussels during the ERASMUS intensive programme 'Integrated Planning and Design for Sustainable Urban Peripheries in Europe'.

Exploring the cultural landscape in the urban periphery of Brussels

Typical contrasts of the urban periphery

IMLA students and lectures worked on alternative futures for the western urban fringe of Brussels region around the area of the Erasme hospital.

The project was hosted by the Faculty for Architecture 'Lacambrehorta' of Université Libre of Brussels (ULB). Further partners are Ion Mincu University for Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest and the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
