Projects

Three practice-oriented projects are held in Switzerland, Germany and other European countries to familiarise the students with exacting planning and design work in areas of topical significance.

Learn efficient means of project organisation and master practical project work in a way that will leave you enough time for creative planning and design. At the same time, train your persuasive abilities by giving presentations to local decisionmakers and a professional audience.

Information Technologies in Planning and Design

To enhance the ability of the students to perform tasks and solve problems in the fi elds of landscape planning and landscape architecture, the modules in this subject area teach advanced knowledge of digital tools. In order to assure that the acquired skills are put into immediate practice, their contents are strongly related to course projects.

Gain broad insights into the various digital tools available for planning use today, and learn how to effi ciently organise IT use on various planning levels.

Planning and Design Methods

The modules in this subject area teach advanced skills in planning and design processes, thus enabling the students to define and implement methods appropriate to the respective task.

Achieve creative solutions to complex problems by means of a transparent methodical approach.

Planning and Design Methods

Planning and Design in Europe

The modules in this subject area expose the students to current and future fields of action in a European and international context and encourage enquiry into landscape architecture concepts of other countries.

Become acquainted with Europe's diversity and gain an understanding of local identities by investigating and devising concepts for unfamiliar landscapes. As a result, you will reconsider your own culture, gain an understanding of foreign planning systems, and widen your horizon.

Planning and Project Management

In this part of the programme, the students learn how to design, organise and to schedule a project and how to implement it in a structured and efficient way. The theoretical know-how acquired in these basic modules is applied and consolidated in the projects carried out as part of the programme.

Train your leadership skills in the wide range of the tasks involved in landscape architecture.
