Academic and professional experience

Doctor's degree in Agriculture with a thesis on regionalisation of material balance in forest areas at the chair of landscape ecology of Munich University of Technology in Weihenstephan/Germany Roman Lenz has been professor for landscape planning and landscape computer science since March 1st, 1996. He is the leader of the Institute for Applied Science which is subtitled "environment and planning" since July 1998. He is primarily interested in system-orientated integrated approaches for environmental planning. This includes EDP as well as transdisciplinary approaches, e.g. together with computer and business scientists. Moreover, he is engaged in international relationships of research and science.
