Purpose of the processing

Website for information about the International Master of Landscape Architecture (IMLA). The IMLA is a joint course of studies of the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT) and the University of Economics and Environment NĂ¼rtingen-Geislingen (HfWU).

Personal data

The website can only be used for information purposes and therefore personal data is only collected to the extent technically and organisationally necessary:

  • Contact the operator of the website by email
  • Technical operation (Data transmitted by the browser used)
  • Personal data transmitted by e-mail will only be used for contact, for the stated purpose and for the duration of the stated purpose.

IP addresses in the log files of the website are made anonymous. It is therefore not possible to assign an IP address to a specific user.

Internet service provider

The website is operated on a server of the Landscape Architecture Department, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. The processing of personal data takes place exclusively in a member state of the European Union. The server logs the following information: Client IP Address anonymised (it is not possible to assign an IP address to a specific user), time that the request was received, client request, status code that the server sends back to the client, client referer, client browser information.

Content management system / Cookies

The website uses a content management system CMS to create the web pages. No cookies are set when visitors use and view the website. When editors and administrators login, temporary (session-related) cookies are set to keep a current session active. These cookies are deleted when the browser is closed.

Social Media

The site uses social media buttons with Shariff. A Shariff button establishes the direct contact between social network and visitor only when the latter actively clicks on the share button.

Embedded content

Information on the scope and type of data transfer can be found in the data protection information of the respective content provider. If the content provider provides a data protection mode (e.g., this will be used when embedding the content.

Use of Vimeo plug-ins

For the integration of videos we use the provider Vimeo, among others. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC with headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011. On some of our websites we use plugins from the provider Vimeo. When you access the Internet pages of our website that are equipped with such a plugin - for example, our media library - a connection is established to the Vimeo servers and the plugin is displayed. This tells the Vimeo server which of our Internet pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Vimeo, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account. When you use the plugin, such as when you click on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.
