Marija Debeljak

IMLA graduate
Slovenia

"One of the most valuable aspects of the IMLA program is the opportunity to meet and work with people from so many different cultures, professional backgrounds, and stages of life. Being exposed to such different perspectives really broadens the way you think, both professionally and personally, and teaches you a lot about communicating and working with people who approach things differently from you.
A personal highlight for me was the practical semester. It gave me the opportunity to put what I had learned into practice, while gaining some of the most valuable learning experiences of my time in the program. It was also an important stepping stone into the professional world and helped prepare me very well for starting my career in Germany. Whether you plan to take the experience and perspectives gained through IMLA back to your home country or continue your career in Germany, the program gives you a unique international network and perspective to take with you, wherever you go."
