The application portal for the next start of the IMLA (International Master of Landscape Architecture) programme in spring 2027 is open.

Programme start is each year in the summer semester, mid of March of the year following the application deadline. The location of studies alternates annually between Nürtingen (HfWU) and Freising-Weihenstephan (HSWT) - depending on the year of the application:

Applications submitted until 1 October 2026 (= application deadline) will be valid for the study location Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU) in Nürtingen near Stuttgart.

International applicants are strongly recommended to submit their application as early as possible in order to avoid delays during the application peak time.

Please note:

• Foreign degree holders need a degree recognition document (VPD) from Studienkolleg Konstanz or uni-assist. This process takes time - count in at least 6 weeks
• Degree holders from India, Vietnam and China need to submit a valid APS certificate at the time of the application deadline

The IMLA application and admission process is administered by Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU) - no matter if your location of studies will be Nürtingen (at the HfWU) or (one year later again) Freising-Weihenstephan (at the HSWT).
