Balancing a conflicting landscape: New ideas for the Port Island of Gdańsk, Poland. IMLA students win second prize of the LE:NOTRE Student Competition 2021

This year's LE:NOTRE Student Competition invited students to propose an artistic vision for a nature-driven revitalisation and a spatial and cultural integration of the Port Island of Gdańsk in Poland. The participants were asked to develop innovative ideas for landscape and green infrastructure in order to increase interest in this area for both: the citizens of Gdańsk and also for tourists.

A team of four students of the International Master of Landscape Architecture (IMLA) programme was very successful and won the second price:

Rachelle El Khoury, Paul Maksoud, Luke Henry Miller and Taha Shayestehpour
with their contribution 'Balancing a conflicting landscape'

A detailed presentation of all winning teams' works of the competition can be found here as an online exhibition.
