In September 2025, Prof. Ingrid Schegk received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS) at the ECLAS Conference 2025 in Nitra, Slovakia.
This award for her life's work is a very nice tribute to Ingrid Schegk's career, as she entered her well-deserved retirement at the end of September 2025 after 30 years at the HSWT.
Prof. Ingrid Schegk played a key role in the IMLA degree programme: she was the programme director at the HSWT from 2011 to 2025, i.e. for 14 years. During this time, she played a decisive role in shaping and developing IMLA further, expanding international cooperation and organizing numerous IMLA study projects abroad.
Prof. Tilman Latz is her successor as IMLA programme director at the HSWT, having already taken over this position in March 2025.
The IMLA team is delighted that Ingrid Schegk's achievements have been recognized with the ECLAS Award and would like to thank her for her outstanding work and commitment:
Dear Ingrid, we will miss you, wish you all the best for this new chapter in your life and look forward to staying in touch with you!
