During the wintersemester 2010 IMLA students had the chance to join a workshop about "Advanced 3-D visualisation" offered by guest lecturer Philip Paar, a well known 3-D visualisation expert with an educational background in landscape planning.

Besides lectures in "Advanced landscape visualisation" the workshop includes hands-on training with Biosphere 3D, a very interesting open source landscape visualisation project, bringing together GIS techniques with advanced real time visualisation.

The students enjoyed the course very much and got the feeling to get educational input from the front line of research.
